Shattered my expectations with regards to sound quality. This is the best sounding Bluetooth speaker in its category. Tremendously full audio with tight but punchy bass, this is worlds beyond UE's next biggest speaker, the megaboom, and the sound is much more balanced with better stereo separation then the JBL Xtreme, which I suppose is its closest competitor. I will say this is probably best used as a home speaker, not to be carried around frequently or used in rugged environments. It just doesn't evoke the indestructibility that the boom and megaboom have, not to mention this is also not a waterproof speaker. But against the wall in my living room this thing is epic, we've used it for movies and it sounds like a full sound bar with a dedicated sub. I've also taken it to work, where it gets a lot of attention and compliments. I love being able to turn it on/off from the app, battery life is ample and charges fast, and the aux in and phone charging features I've all been happy to have. Easy recommend overall.The Hyperboom sounds great and looks awesome. However, it has a delay when connected with the Aux input. If you want it to play an instrument or to use it as a tv or computer speaker to watch a movie or video you will notice that the sound out of the speaker has a latency. So, it is not a good choice to play instruments or to connect to a controller to mix tracks.Has really great sound and really nice bass if you don’t buy this you are out of your mind and the 2.5 hour charge time is so great rather have a nice sounding speaker like this any day! I recommend this speaker to anyone! Blows the companions right out the game! Trying to find a speaker like this for a long time! If you listen to any music with bass please do your self a favor and pick on of these up, and the bass and the triable sound great one does not over power the other sounds really good and clear love this speaker my top pick from now on!The quality of the "renewed" Ultimate Ears Hyperboom speaker was perfect - like a brand new product.More importantly, I am amazed at how quickly it showed up. I received it 10 days earlier than was expected.I would easily buy from the seller again - they are prompt to ship and ensure the highest quality of product.Honestly not sure if I could tell it was refurbished other than it missing the original packaging, had the original stickers on and all.Speaker sounds great, can absolutely fill a room. Bass comes out the back side so sounds best in a corner.Battery life is really solid when playing at a reasonable volume. Used for multiple hours across a weekend without needing a charge.If you love BASS like I do, this is the one! At home, for your t.v., hooked to a VR headset or phone, used at work, ALL WILL KNOW where you are! I even use it in my Toyota as a subwoofer. Yes, it is THAT LOUD! A little heavy at 13 lbs to carry if going for long walks, however it might fit in a large enough backpack, definitely in a duffle bag. It sounds amazing outdoors also. Be thought of your neighbors, like I said earlier, it is THAT LOUD!The sound this thing puts out is only matched by it's stylish good looks. I was going to go with the Soundbok because if your just looking for stupid loud than yes, Soundbok does have the edge. But it also looks like your about to head to a rave. That's fine but I'm a classy kind a guy and I needed something with some style. Also my wife was like " Whatever you get it better look good in the house" Anyway The UE Hyperboom is not only loud but it has crazy range to it people! And yes, they look good on my equally snazzy looking entertainment stand thingy. It checks all the feel good,looks good must have boxes.
