Many small satellite speakers have ports on the back, which are designed to improve the bass response. For best sound response, it is usually recommended to mount these speakers about 1-2 feet away from the wall, to allow the ports to work properly. This speaker floor stand set is designed to let you mount your satellite speakers in an ideal location, away from a wall. The stands are height adjustable from about 26.8" to 43.3", allowing you to mount the speakers at your ear height when sitting. They can hold speakers weighing up to 5 lbs each. The brackets mount onto speakers with a standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screw or via a keyhole mount. The stand tubes are hollow so that the speaker wires can be hidden within.
Allows speakers with rear-firing ports to breath freely
Speaker height adjustable from 26.8" to 43.3"
Supports up to 5 lbs weight per speaker
Mounts to speakers using standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screw or keyhole mount
Great minimalist surround speaker stand.Gets the job done and comes with all sorts of bolts and washers so you can mount a wide variety of speaker brands.I'd say it's probably worth no more than $20 or $25 because of the build quality. It's borderline cheap looking but it's acceptable by my standards because you won't be staring at it. as you watch your movies. the little plastic that tightens the two halves arrived and functioned properly but I can see this could be a problem. Try to delicately put tighten and assemble this unit or you might damage it's plastic parts. When you shop and look for alternatives online, you'll see that nothing can touch the cost benefit of this set.It was very easy to assemble and put it together for my set of 5.1 ONN (Walmart branded...) speakers with the two surround satellite speaker set. By the way, these satellite speakers are quite big and heavy and this stand had no issues coping with the added weight. In a sense, I'm impressed. If you're like me and always try to stretch your bucks as far as you can whilst purchasing a product that will not crumble right before your eyes or as you attempt to put it together, this is the set for you.I highly recommend this product.Well, I guess I am getting old! it used to be you had a good idea of what a product was from the pictures, not anymore! It's getting harder to buy from Amazon from the pictures. I have received 3 or 4 items recently that you would think they were the baby brother of the item pictured in the ads. Not only are they small but they aren't sturdy or are not stable. Now, if you have speakers that you can hold in the palm of your hand and when you close it your hand almost covers them, these will work for you. I have the Samsung 9500s and I can't let then stand away from the couch for the fear they will fall over. I have them as extended as I can stand for fear of them falling over besides the flimsy metal used to make the leg. They may be able to be extended up more but I would be afraid they would fall over if bumped in the slightest or they might bend in the middle? Maybe an overreach but only a little. If these were $10.00 or maybe a little over, I still would not buy them again. The problem I have now is I bought the Samsung HW-Q600B 3.1.2ch Soundbar and then bought the 9200s back speakers of which the soundbar stopped working in the middle of setting up the rear speakers. So, I had to send both back after spending 4 hours on the phone with Samsung about the sound bar and unfortunately the speakers don't work with the replacement Samsung 700 series, I replaced it with. I also have had to send several other items back because of the under engineering and over hyping these companies are doing! I hate sending anything back, but this is getting bad. I think these companies are hiding behind supply chain shortages and the like to sell inferior products. I'm not sure but there are 4 or 5 others just like these and I looked them over and because these seemed to be a little thicker (in the pictures) than the others I settled for these, well if I was right don't buy the others either. I paid 42 +tax now their $33.55 making me feel even worse. Iff you are looking to spark up your home theater these are not a good option. The problem is if you get anything else it is double and particle board. It seems that every company is in it to make as much as they can right now, then change their name and start over again! They don't look that good in person. The cheapest stands I could fine. They work great. No I don't have to put holes in my walls. This is perfectly suitable to hold small satellite speakers that are perhaps a pound or so in weight. Much more than that, you're risking the stand sipping over and falling, possibly damaging your speaker. These hold my JVC satellite speakers that are part of a 5 speaker plus subwoofer system. They are not what I would call sturdy, and would not survive well around children if children can get to them. They are made of thin metal and telescope to about 5 ft high. Likewise, they are not difficult to put together, but some might find it a bit confusing to assemble. These turn up in the Amazon Warehouse fairly often as returned merchandise, so that's a clue that they aren't sturdy enough for everyone's speakers. I bought mine through their Warehouse Deals at about 1/2 price. One of the packages came with three bases and weights but no stands or hardware, so if you get an incomplete package, simply return it. I ordered my third set to get my 5th stand (I'll have one extra since they come in pairs) for my center channel speaker. I should receive it in a day or two, and I hope it's not the same set I returned. :-)The negatives aside, for the price they can't be beat if you have small, lightweight speakers to hang. The fact I'm buying another set should tell you that they are worth considering to locate your speakers above couch level, where they are up and in the clear for listening pleasure. I gave these 4 stars because they are not built sturdy enough for all speakers, but they are certainly good enough for small speakers. These stands are excellent, fitted my needs exactly. What has impressed me is the Customer Service from the supplier. For no fault of theirs the items were not delivered by UPS, they stated we were out, no card left, and we were in all. No sign of them on CCTV. Using Amazon tracking discovered they had been to a local shop as “we were out”. For health reason I was unable to collect them. Contact UPS, no help whatsoever. Contacted supplier, they went out of their way to sort UPS error, which they did brilliantly. So Thank you very much.Highly recommend both Supplier and Stands.I paid just £11.28 for these including delivery. At the time I bought these I was looking for Bose stands for some Bose cube speakers, at over ten times the £7.27 price ex-delivery. These stands were simple to put together, and give a stable support for the Bose cubes, with well weighted bases. Mine are plain black - there is no branding or logo on one or both stands as some other reviewers mention. The cables are routed up the middle of the stand so it all looks tidy. An advantage for me over the Bose stands is that you can adjust the height of these to match the TV size and your seating position. A tip for routing the cable through the stand is to adjust the stands to their lowest height when doing this so you do not have to push the cable past the height adjuster, as bottom of the longer upper / inner part of the stand then sticks out of the base at the bottom of the stand and you don't have to jiggle the cable past the adjuster. You then pull the cable through from the top as you adjust the height upwards. There was also some swarf inside my stands next to the slot cut in the tubes for the bracket at the top that made it harder to push the cable right through at the top. I broke this off with a screwdriver and it was then fine - and yes, I am sure Bose stands are swarf-free! There is nothing to fault here though at this price, and their extra adjustability is actually a plus for me in my setting. The Bose cubes are very small and light though - I would not expect these stands to be stable with any larger and heavier speakers.Having read the rather mixed reviews on this item, the decision came down to price. At under £8.00 there was little to lose and they looked identical to others costing 3 to 4 times the price with similar mixed reviews. In the end it was the right decision as they were assembled with no problems and do exactly what I required i.e. support two Panasonic satellite rear speakers (weight about 500g each). I would hesitate to put the max recommended weight of 2.5Kg on these though as I think they would prove unstable. The actual items look fine for what they are and the 'Monoprice' logo on the one speaker is not as prominent as the web picture indicated - plus it can always be covered over with a bit of black tape if it really offends. My speakers had both keyhole and screw fastening so I opted for the screw. The speakers are also permanently wired with no plugs to disconnect. Other reviews mention both difficulty with cable routing and fragile locking mechanism. Dealing with these in turn - internal cable routing. I can see this being a problem if thick audio cables are used but if ordinary speaker wire is used then you should have no problem. My method was to cut the existing speaker wire about 8 cms from the rear of the speaker, then using a separate piece of wire ( I chose black to match the stand) pass it through the stand from the top, internal, hole. This avoids trying to go from a larger diameter tube to a smaller one and having to disassemble the stand. The new internal cable can then be joined to both the speaker and the existing unit cable. I opted for a soldered connection at the speaker end and a mini block connector at the skirting end, but a screw connector could be used at both ends. The block can be secured to the skirting if required so the speakers can be removed easily if needed. Do note the coding on the wires, one will either have a coloured stripe or a ridge on the plastic and these should connected all the way through to maintain correct polarity and avoid the speakers being 'out of phase' with each other. Those who have had problems with the adjustable height locking screw have probably overtightened it in an attempt to reduce wobble between upper and lower tubes. Examination reveals a poor fit here with far too much clearance between the two (what do you expect for less than £8?). Solution - release the locking screw and push the inner down as far as it will go. About 5 cms inner will project on which you can use a few turns of insulating tape to increase the diameter. A bit of trial and error here then gently slide the inner back up to the required height. Finally tighten the lock screw just over finger tight and no more. No rattle and no wobble - guaranteed. Take the right precautions and these really are an absolute bargain.Theses speaker stand are amazing value for money have been looking around for some universal stands that fit the ONKYO Surround Speakers and they do.The way I fitted the Key Hole slot mounting is to fit it as flows metal washer rubber washer then pass the screw through mounting plate then rubber washer and metal washer then thumb bolt place into key hole and tighten this seems to produce a very secure and stable mounting. Mounting the Speaker on the stand last. Unable to use the plastic cover on the mounting plate due to the type of speaker.I had an issue getting the speaker cable through one of the stands, there was some metal debris around the exit hole for the cable on this stand luckily I wasa able to get a needle file into the tube and clean this away not the place to have some thing sharp to cut through the cable? So if you are having trouble getting the cable through this might be the problem. I checked the one other one that I had assembled just to make sure this was OK.I would have given this 5 stars other wise. So, here is the deal - I have a surround sound system that comprises of Cambridge Audio's Minx min 21s. To being with, I got the proprietary CA speaker stands at around £79.00!! Yes, the feel solid and look the part; but seriously, £79.00 for TWO stands??? Anyway, I needed another pair of stands for my front speakers, so I decided to take a gamble, based on what people has said here. The footprint is tiny and sleek, I have QED 79 strand speaker cables running through these puppies with no problem - these are not exactly your cheap, thin cables.I am VERY impressed by the speakers. Yes, it is NOT as heavy and "plush" looking as my CA stands. But, I will say this to you, I would easily have paid around £30.00 - £50.00, in a shop, for something similar. So, if you have a "normal" size and weighted satellite speaker, then please do yourself a favour and get these. Seriously, they are that good.
